"With the implementation of various community activities, such as the Thursday Night Co-op, Mora helped to revitalize the city.  Her energy and boundless optimism have enticed several small businesses to the downtown area."

CAROL ARNOLD

PLACER COUNTY VISITORS BUREAU BOARD MEMBER

PLACER GROWN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

FOOTHILL FARMERS MARKET CEO + EVENT PARTNER

Carol and I worked together in many different capacities and on many different projects over the past 10 years.  I was first introduced to Carol when I was hired to be the Executive Director for the Placer County Visitors Bureau, where she was a board member.  We continued to work together as partners throughout my term as Economic Development Director for the City of Auburn.

BOB RICHARDSON

CITY MANAGER, CITY OF AUBURN

Bob and I worked together as partners when I held the position of Executive Director of the Placer County Visitors Bureau and CEO of the Visit California Visitors Center in Auburn.  As City Manager for the City of Auburn he was the landlord of the building where the visitors center and offices were located, and one of my responsibilities was to market the City of Auburn to increase tourism revenues.  He later recruited me to be the Economic Development Director for the City of Auburn, where he was my direct supervisor.

"Mora consistently performs the work of at least two people while maintaining superior quality in all her work. When given even a broad task with little funding Mora has an uncanny way of becoming a force multiplier. "

"When we hired Mora as our Economic Development Director, our direction to her was to "move forward quickly", and boost economic development.  She has done that and more "

CHERYL MAKI

MAYOR, CITY OF AUBURN

Cheryl and I worked together during my tenure as Economic Development Director at the City of Auburn, although we have known each other much longer, as Cheryl has served on the City Council and as Mayor of the City of Auburn for many years.  I was regularly asked to report on the state of the tourism economy to the City Council, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and Soroptimist Clubs, where Cheryl was in attendance while I was Executive Director of the Placer County Visitors Bureau.

MICHAEL DUFFY

BOARD CHAIR, LYME ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS

Michael and I worked closely together on the relaunch of the Lyme Academy of Fine Arts.  When I was hired, one important strategic initiative was to re-connect and engage with the local community and develop the campus into a vibrant community hub and meeting place. After the first year the artistic directors desired a more monastic and cloistered campus, which is one of the reasons I decided to resign.

"Her work ethic is unmatched by anyone I 've encountered in my personal or professional life and the sense of joy that she brought to her job was critical in bringing life back to our campus."
